I began contributing regularly to CARtoons in 1964 -- in issue #16. A great way to learn... and get paid at the same time!
I gradually did fewer and fewer pages towards "the end" -- when Petersen pulled the plug (some time around 1990). It was great while it lasted.
People still ask if CARtoons (and SURFtoons and Hot Rod Cartoons and CYCLEtoons are still being published. I wish they were...
