Configure Windows 3.1
Under Windows 3.1, you use Trumpet Winsock (TCPMan.exe) to dial into the
internet and make a connection with us. It is important to dial in with
Trumpet first, as programs that use the internet under Windows 3.1
cannot make a connection on their own. This is also true if you start a
program (such as Eudora or Internet Explorer/Netscape) and then
bring up trumpet - this also will not work. You will have to shut down the
program and restart it with Trumpet already dialed in.
Configure Trumpet Winsock
Look here for a general explanation of how to
setup Trumpet Winsock for use under Coastnet.
Adjust the MTU
Having problems with mail downloads? This could be it.
Go here to see how to change this number.
Adjust Your Login Script
Your login script is what tells Trumpet where to dial and how to login.
Look here to change or adjust how any of these
functions work:
- Disable Call Waiting
- Add an initialisation string
- Automate your login
