As comic books go, Petersen Publishing's CARtoons. HOT ROD Cartoons, SURFtoons, and CYCLEtoons magazines never seemed to get the acceptance I think they deserved.
The problem seemed to be that they weren't quite comic books -- they were magazine-size and didn't have color interior art. They were closer to MAD in their concept -- but they were devoted to cars, hot rods, motorcycles, and surfin'.
But they did provide me -- and a lot of other cartoonists -- with a good income and a great showcase for 25 years!
I thought you might be interested in seeing who else cartooned there...
I don't think Terry did more than a couple stories for CARtoons. This is from October 1968 -- before Monty Python, I expect.
