School Projects for Peace

Students from Victoria High School worked on a project on March 11th of 2004 called "Blossoms to Baghdad." Under the direction of art instructor Ms. Olson, these 12th graders created a ground art image of a dove in the field of their school, using sawdust and blossoms. Sky divers dropped from a couple of thousand feet in the blue sky and the song "Imagine" played over the speaker system. A video of this event, filmed and created by Jeremy Matheson is available by request on DVD.

Students from Memorial High School in Nova Scotia have also created art for peace.
