"Winter Fields Waiting For Spring"

I painted this piece in my car because it was drizzling off and on. The largest size I can work on inside my volvo is 30"X30". I lay a drop sheet over both front seats and then scrunch up with my legs under my body. I have the water dish in an awkward place and my brushes on the dash. I have the palette with all my colours in one hand and the canvas lies at an angle. It is a bit of a squish, but it works. There is something very cozy about creating such a nice warm spring like painting under these conditions. It is so much better than working in the studio. The field in the upper right hand corner is the field that I did my mother and child field art project. It was a temporary event and it was after I completed this one that I decided to do a permanent peace sanctuary. The art project that was made with the hay was fed to the cows!
