This field is in Saannich near the city of Victoria. If it is wet or drizzling rain I scrunch up in my car and paint . I absolutely prefer to paint on location because the weather and shadows change and more unexpected things happen every time. I don't use an easle any more either. I prefer to sit with the painting in my arms. It gives the whole thing a much more imbalanced feel.
